Default IS 350 Supercharger

So I have searched the forum and have decided to get the LMS Super Charger for my IS. I have discussed it with the dealership in Las Vegas and they do not have a problem with the mod, in fact they are curiuos. My Service Rep has been trying to demo one. Anyway, before I lay down $5,500 and spend a weekend in California, I'd like to know if anyone has done this. Are you happy with the results. My understanding is that you can gain almost 80 hp at the wheel. Your comments (for or against) are welcome.

Did the dealership state if they would still honor your warranty or not?

What do you mean by "they do not have a problem with the mod". I would be willing to bet that engine problems will be blamed on the mod, regardless of what they're telling you right now.

$5,500!! Wow. Let us know how it feels after the install. Any reason why you're choosing to go with supercharger over turbo (other than lag)? I'm assuming turbo is even developed/available for the IS.

Most people who have question and are interested in the kit either PM me or call me. You can also do a search for RoRo and RT350 because they have the kit as well.

miniround: I have a 350 (now I want more)

15951: "That's forever being up for debate: some here would say that it voids the warranty however no one has been able to show me in writing where it voids the warranty. Unless the pressure blows a head gasket or something I don't see where it would void anything" - Lexus of Las Vegas - Now I know as well as you that they have to prove that the supercharger caused the failure and if their is a failure the supercharge will be blamed - I am just happy that the dealership is mod friendly

I have owned two Audi A4's and while I like turbos, in the summer there is too much heat soak. My 2004 A4 had very little lag, still the summer months sucked.

07txlex: I had asked the dealership if they would install it. The said no, but not for anyother reason than they didn't want mine to be the first one they did - they actually recommended LMS becuase of the specs.

I'll keep you posted

I've never seen a dyno sheet for a 350 with the LMS supercharger and I don't think it will deliver 80rwhp but more like 40-50. Can you dyno your car before and after so we can see the results?!

I say wait. 5500 is alot of money for only 80hp, if its even that at the wheel. But if you got the $$ to throw around.. well.. give us full details!

A couple of other folks have the SC done and well.. I haven't seen any posts with Dyno runs or any 1/4 mile runs soo who knows for sure. I'm waiting for someone to put a 75 shot on the IS. I bet that'll be interesting.

Thumbs up Service Rep

I bought my Lexus IS @ Las Vegas Lexus. My service rep said "Yes it would void any warranty to the Engine". But he to would like to see it. Would he put that to paper," No Way".
I myself wouldn't worry about it, I think it would be cool to see it in action.
When your done post pictures and some action shots.
