The 2jz-gte means turbo. But most of them come from the Supra. So you were right.

Ohhhh. So the 2jz-gte is just the turbo??? I thought it was the name of the entire motor.

The internals are also totally different. Go to mkiv.com, you can get all the technical info on 2jz-gte.

IMO 'entire' isn't a good word to describe their difference. the block internals and the designs are very different between the ge and the gte.

JPI: stock manifold? is it not ported?

This is a custom JPI manifold. Hopefully it will be in the 3000 lbs with me in it. The whole car is stripped. Cage is also qualify for 8.4's pass.

are you referring to the ge vs gte heads, cause the bottom ends arent all that different. no oil squirters on the ge, and different pistons, but the rest is pretty much the same between the two. heads are totally different though, i'll agree on that.

nice car JPI, cant wait to see a video of one of its passes.

Actually thats very wrong. Common misconception tho. Same bottom-end minus oil-squirters and slightly different pistons; both are cast, different compression. Heads are different and the GE actually flows more CFM than the GTE head.

There are several differences; but none of them are considered very major. All parts swap over pretty much apples to apples.
