Default Parts for Australian Version IS250 '07

Hello everyone

Im getting my '07 IS250 very soon and of the first thing i want to do with it is put in a CAI or at least a K&N air filter with the tanabe or HKS exhaust

now being in Aus, we have to import most of our products from the states for this car, and having a look around, i chatted to the staff from a certain online shop from the state

i inquired about K&N air filter, and the bloke said that it would not fit in our right hand side IS250 as it was designed for left hand side IS250, is this true?

i had thought something as simple as an air filter would fit all model, neglecting if its LHS or RHS

thanks for your help guys!

well fortunately for your wallet, the car already has a CAI built into it, and the stock filter is as good as any aftermarket one from the dynos we've seen so far. there is also a carbon element before the filter that restricts a good amount of air flow, but the only intake performance upgrade we've seen have even the slightest effect is a solid smooth connecting piece between the manifold and the filter like the Joe-Z pipe. if your filter is on the left hand side when you pop the hood then you can use it.
