this is good info..if i used a standalone i`d have to take control away from the stock ECU.NOT going to do this.i get your point on the CAN bus ,but how to hack it??what is it digital milliamp sig,or is it just an A/O?
It would be nice if you were local. BTW, my piggy-back ECU does use CAN bus. The only wires are power, CAN bus hub, MAF, and primary O2 sensors (when I hook it back up). If it was integrated with NOS, it would also need to be wired into the NOS trigger switch so it could switch to the 2nd map when the system was active.
point taken.A normal wet set up should work.400kpa is more than enough pressure.and you would never use enough fuel cause any prolbems.Next question is how adaptive is the timing curve/rpm base?Any spred sheets lobuxracer?
Not for this piece. Too new, and I'm too busy with working on my Supra right now.

can you set up a remote data request?if so,can it decode the stream?(bit stuffing)not really an electronic engineer, mechanical is more my field. Also is there a CAN PORT at the OBD2.Do you just make up an adress?

You can request data, but I don't know what you would need to request, since there is so much drivetrain data being transmitted constantly at a high frame rate. Decoding the data is a big PITA, since none of it is documented anywhere. That was the hardest part of the project. The CAN bus connections are located in several places, including the OBDII connector. However, I just plugged into a spare port in the footwell. No address is needed for listening to the stream.
This would be alot easier if you could get tech software used a every lexus dealer.Hook into listen to it TX/RX alot easier to decode.Have any friends?Maybe I`ll leave this alone(starting to get ideas that should only be PM`ed)
