Where are you getting that fact.

All high boosted motors need / should have stronger internals. TC or SC. Like I said before boost is boost. And yes I also have heard that the boost ramp from a turbo is better for the motor than that of a SC. Besides you should get better gas milage out of a turbo setup if you look at normal day to day driving. Turbos stay out of boost unless you want them in it. Look at all the big rigs, dump truck, CAT bulldozers (sp?), etc. They all have turbos and trust me they dont break down all the time. I had a turbo mustang 5.0 and still got over 20mpg and 300 to the tank on highway. 420RWHP / 466TQ on a STOCK BLOCK w/ STOCK INTERNALS. A tuned (stock) 2WD turbo diesel Excursion can get 1000miles on a single tank of gass. SC will ALWAYS put drag on the motor. If you are mechanicaly inclined (oil changes dont count) and dont mind using more components, I would go TC no doubt. If you want a source of boost with least amount of components and stress at install, go SC. Either one has its own pros and cons, but most of the SC pros are ease of install and less parts to the finished product. Good luck! As long as its boosted its all good in the end. Just make sure you use quality components.

How many of you guys used or are using any of the SRT turbo kits? What are your impressions of them?

The cast iron manifold they have isnt the best for flow but it is the best for durability. The turbo placement isnt for show but for function. I emailed them about just buying the hot pipes but I never got a response. Thats all I personaly know.

Hmmm interesting. Mike (the owner) lives up by me. I'll have to see what's up with that.

On a side note, we'll probably be selling the PLP Vortech set up off of the wifeys IS300 (INDGOGRL) towards the summer time. The set up has been trouble free for a couple of years now.

They added VVTI, and with that they put in lighter, which unfortunately means much weaker, pistons and rods.

For the 2jz-ge engine, turbo is the only way I'll have it.

Now for us V8'ers out there that do not want to go through the process of making a custom setup, a supercharger would mate perfectly
