I thought I remember reading that someone was producing a custom bellhousing that would allow the Supra 6 speed Getrag to bolt to the GS400. Am I crazy or does anyone else remember this? I must be horrible at searching because I can't find it. If this is the case, I'd be interested in finding out more info about it.

 

There is a project on lextreme, that might help you. I know they founds osmeone that made bellhousings etc.

Converting the housing and mating it to a Supra 6-speed is probably the easy part- what is the word on how difficult the electronics would be to convert?

 

^^^^^^^^^^Converting auto to manual is easy on the electronics end.Now the other way around would be tough.

 

what about the parts to operate the clutch? eg. clutch pedal?

 

I saw a show on TLC a while ago that used a Is300 that put in a 3ufze and the supra 6 speed. Anyone recall?

 

it was a 1uz in a is300, yes that ish was dope, they called it the is400. that was long ago, i think rod millan was part of that project. i remember they also introduced drifting from rod millan motor sports.
anything is possible, but you have to be willing to spend the green. there is a member here that is claming to do a 6 speed conversion on his gs4. i guess will wait and see.

We calculated for the 6 speed conversion. If you are not doing the work yourself. Prepare some money for it. Here is a good thread on this topic
