Default Help need Gearing info

Did anyone change the gearing in there GS400?
I'm picking up a S/C stage III for Mo. I'm also considering picking up a TRD LSD, but with what gear ratio. I found out that my car has 3.26 ratio. I want to get a better launch off the line.
Would the stock gearing from a GS300 work? They have a ratio of 3.91.
Or should i go with a gear ratio set up from a Supra of 3.76.
Your help will be greatly appreciated.

TRD LSD is just the clutch part. You need to use your old stock ring gear which is 3.26. Unless you are picking up the tranny ECU from Mo, I'd say stay with the 3.26 gear.

Question Depends

Mahalo - If U're gonna get the S/C ( & I assume a T/C ), I'd take Jacob's advice to stay with the factory gearing as I don't think U'll be able to get the power to the ground with the RMM/LSD with the 3.76 Supra gears ( which I have ). I'd consider adding the LSD to the factory differential ( check with Steve @ Carson Toyota for the best price ). My RMM piece dropped my quarter times by .2 but mine GS4's naturally aspirated & "only" makes roughly 320+ flywheel hp ( with the SRT intake & Borlas ). The gears make the car launch better but the LSD keeps the wheelspin to a minimium, even with the VSC off.

Gene, "Mahalo" means "thank you " in Hawaiian. It's not the dude's name.

itsallgood, I also agree with Jacob and Gene. I have the TRD LSD at 3.26 also. There were some members with 3.76, but were hitting the rev limiter. I believe Steve Ganz also has the TRD LSD in stock at a good price. You should check with him.
