Default Which is your fav. exhaust?

There was a lot of post of what exhaust people wanted to get, so i decided to create a poll. What is your fav. exhaust? HKS, Greddy, Tanabe, LMS, or other.

Isn't the HKS a dual exhaust? If not, what do you mean by "true dual exhaust"?

true dual = 2 separate pipes the whole way through. the HKS has a y-pipe that turns it from 1 pipe to 2 where the mufflers connect.

True dual exhausts usually use an H pipe.

I think it's a bit pre-mature for me to have a favorite. There hasn't been any real comparisons made yet. We still don't know which one makes the most power while keeping the rear cats and the sound clips are not the greatest way to tell how it sounds under load either. Also with most of these exhausts the tips stick out a bit too much. Guess I'm just being picky, but I think most of us are the same when it comes to this type of purchase for a Lexus. My vote for now is OEM.

Tanabe- Looks kinda odd from the back. Kinda like 2 trumpets, haven't heard one yet and haven't seen much in the way of independent dyno results.

HKS- Looks pretty good, but sticks out a bit in the back. No dyno comparisons yet and the IS350 that was at the track with me was running slower times with this exhaust. On the plus side it sounds pretty nice.

Greddy- It's HUGE!, no dyno results and the sound I'm not sure about as I haven't heard one yet except for a youtube video revving.

LMS- I don't like the look of it and it removes the rear cats. Also seems to be a bit too loud.

OEM- I'm running good times with it, looks nice and is quiet. On the down side it's a bit too quiet.

i'm biased towards tanabe cause i have it. as far as sticking out, with the oem kit, only the corners of the exhaust stick out, the rest of the mufflers lie under the bumper. i wanted the hks one before but the $$$ was too much but i'm glad i got the tanabe because i think anything louder would be too loud for me.

Lexus-parts posted dyno results. It's supposed to add about 10 rwhp.

Is it not possible that the guy you were running with just wasn't driving very well? And/or had other issues? (Weight variances, other mods, traction control, etc) Not to mention that there can be some decent differences in the power straight out of the factory.

EDIT: And based on the numbers in your profile, an IS shouldn't be as powerful as your car with an HKS exhaust alone.

I'm thinking the biggest difference is probably the power differences straight from the factory. We both had same tires and pressures, sport package, traction disabled. I never asked if he had removed the spare or not, but that shouldn't have made much of a difference as it's only about 15lbs or so. I think even the worst driver in the world could run as consistent as the rest of us in this car. Just punch the gas and go. It has just the right amount of power and traction that at a well prepped track the car just goes with little to no wheel spin. Gotta love that. One way I'm thinking about getting even quicker times is to get another set of rear stock wheels with some drag radials and power launch the car off the line. Should be able to get a sub 2.0 60' time and probably drop a 1/10 or so in the full quarter mile.
