Default New Hks Exhaust Is Here!!!!

My contact at my local lexus dealer in CA just e-mailed me about the pricing and packages regarding the HKS exhaust. The pricing is 1500 plus tax or you can get the other package which is the exhaust plus the rear ground effect kit with is 2095 plus tax. What do you guys think?

I think we need to see some pictures, also, if it's just a cat-back exhaust, it's a rip-off..

i know... i was gonna buy it, but i doubt it'll produce much power gain and i dont even know how itll sound. and 1500 for that isn't practical at the moment. hks is gonna come out with their own aftermarket one by the end of the year, and i'm guessing it should be almost 1/2 the price.

should say resonator back theres no "bolt on" cat backs for this car since there are no flanges after the cat, only after the resonator, i bet it has the same gains as the tanabe which is well under half the price

When the heck did GReddy come out with a exhaust?

I talked to my contact at Greddy... no exhaust has been developed.. yet.

Also I'll be waiting for the non-dealer HKS exhaust and see if there is much of a difference. Price should be relatively the same, not 1/2 price like another member stated.

i was the one who guessed that... so you think the aftermarket version will be almost $1400? wow... better be good... ive been waiting because everyone else has the tanabe...

what do you think will be differences in performance?

I'm pretty sure if HKS came out with their exhaust, and even if it was more expensive, you would see less Tanabe exhausts out there. I hope it's good too.. I'll try and get more info as soon as I can. Perhaps it has to do with a V-shaped setup or a true seperate exhaust piping.

Also consider the Titanium tipped HKS exhaust, which would add to the cost as well.

Performance wise, I doubt you'll see much in HP gain.. +25 for other brands is BS. No way you'll see that type of HP gain from just a simple exhaust.
