Default HKS Hyper just installed....

I just installed my HKS Hyper exhaust this past weekend and noticed the driver side canister is kinda off. Its leaning more to the left hitting the bumper and actually melting the paint and plastic. Is there any way to adjust this or position it properly? Im still not sure why its not sitting properly and im going to bring it back to my mechanic to look at it, but he says there's probably no way to adjust it since 2 bolts are holding it and the postioning is fixed. I'll post up pics later tonight, but i needed to get it outta my system b/c im kinda pissed.

This is a common problem with HKS and aftermarket bumpers, if you are touching a stock bumper then you have a real problem, posting pics would help, also check the o rings on the side that touches and make sure they are the size as the other.

Can u not just put a slight bend, preferably mandrel, in the piping so it sits a little lower??

i had the same problem a long time ago on a different car with a stock bumper. i took it to a muffler shop, the guy took the muffler off, he heated the pipe up with a blow torch and with it being secured on some kind of super vice, he bent the pipe..repeated this a few times before it was perfect. it costed me 20 bucks and no pipe cutting.

I had the same problem with the HKS. Mine was touching on the passenger side. I got under there with some heavy duty zip-ties and fixed it. I wonder if this is common?? Try that before the muffler shop. $1-2
