Default VSC on or off?

after posting this thread, i realise that some of you turn VSC off right when u get into the car

just wondering how many of you keep VSC on and how many keep it off?

if you keep it off, why?

I keep it off. There is no question that there is a lag in the throttle during aggressive driving with it on.

I only turn VSC off and Power ECT on when I need to accelerate quickly. Like making a right hand turn onto a busy street or merging into fast traffic. That's about the time I get 10-15 mpg!

I turn it off all the time, unless the weather is really bad outside.

I leave it on unless I feel like taking a more aggressive corner. It will have no effect on acceleration unless you get wheel spin and in this case it helps since it will modulate the throttle faster than a human can.

On a straight line it doesn't make any difference...only retards wheel spin which actually helps acceleration.

On cornering the computer checks for steering wheel rotation and will retard hard acceleration...sometimes even no acceleration is experienced depending on how much you've rotated the steering wheel. This is to reduce the chance of any lateral sliding or fish-tailing.

Power ECT on and VSC off - all the time unless it's raining. I also have a Supra TT Torsen Limited Slip rear end.

wow. I thought more people would turn off VSC!

I guess some people like the added safety it provides. It's always sunny here in socal, so there is never need for me to slide around traffic.

Power off and VSC on 98% of time. When then need arises it's just the opposite.
