Default Attention all turbo, superchared, No2 driven GS owners

I'd like to update the Forced Induction Registry and need your help.

Please post here, post in the FI Registry thread or PM me with details needed to update your car's entry (or to add it).

In general I need screen name, model, RWHP, RWTQ, PSI, quarter mile info and general notes on setup.

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=141909

If you've gone from supercharged to turbo or other setups, I'd like to capture both, so please post both sets of details.

Thank you!

Dave,

Here is a dyno sheet of mine from a while ago. Made some changes since then but as for right now this is what I have. Never been to the track so I don't have any times.

98 GS400 - RMM supercharger, 440cc injectors, Walbro 255lph, custom exhaust, 9psi.

Good Numbers out of the RMM SC !

In all the dyno's I have witnessed, myself and many others, it is interesting to note that your second run (on the chart) was the highest HP.

We usually do no more than 3 pulls for that very reason. Atleast with the GS this is historically what I have observed. If we go past 3 runs then we cool the car off a while and put 2-3 fans on the motor for 20 min. This has resulted in a HP increase because the engine (especially the intake manifold) have been cooled, but the motor, tranny and diff are all warmed up. We have seen roughly a 10 HP gain by doing this. This is also a perfect example of how to mess with the HP #s. Imagine a gain by 10HP just by cooling. That's a better upgrade than a lot of mods out there.

Talking RMM Supercharger

1999 GS400
I bought a RMM supercharger last year at the end of April.
I got it from another member kylnchgs4
Installed at RMM in Huntington Beach Calif
Tuned at XS Engingeering also in Huntington Beach
Did Body Valve upgrade at California Performance Transmissions also in Huntington Beach.

Have 310cc injectors, Apexi S-AFC2 for fuel management. I also have the P.I. 2800 stall TC,
and the RMM 3.76 LSD

With the 3.33 pulley XS Engineering came up with
360RWHP and 309lbs. of torque.

I love it and no I have not been out to the track.

hey dave,

i'm in the middle of a turbo project - bought the kit from jeff (tturbopimp) back in feb 2005 (think it was originally kensgs400tt) - as the usual story goes, it's still a work in progress (best guess is it's ready in 6 to 8 weeks now - i wanted over 8 months for the rods which never came & had to order from another source...that's it's own thread, but i'm not going to bother with it)...with my rmm s/c that i sold to ivan (3 dog), i was running the 2.87 pulley on 370cc injectors and best dyno was 400hp to the wheels (don't remember the tq, but can send you the dyno). will post numbers on the turbo gs when it's up and running - thanks!

Wow 400HP ! I don't believe I have seen a higher output ever reported from the RMM SC kit.

I would LOVE to see the Dyno graph on the RMM SC.

Please DO post that one up as well.

I'll have some dyno results probably next week. My car is running but needs the map-ecu to take off the stoch maf. Changing the fuel rail and injectors also in 2 days. Boosting good but haven't felt the true potential yet. Thanks again to manictechracing.com for everything, including the dyno.

18 psi and race gas. B will be in the 12s' next time he takes her out.. After a couple minor upgrades coming in before lexfest I should be doing mid to low 13's with my 20's. my best run had been 14.1 so far with chrome 20's big heavy truk and all my other cosmetic mods and thats with stock boost.

Burten I wanted to ask you, have you converted yours to true twin Yet or your still sequential?

No way, I drove it in sequential for months and was actually a little dissapointed in how it pulled, yes it had a little more low end power than but mid to top wasn't anything to write home about. We converted it to true twin and the difference was night and day as far as power. Yes its a little slow off the line that and my car weighs like 4400 pounds with me in it but it really takes off after they kick in together and you really feel the little throw back in your seat that I never felt at 1st. Real nice surge and on the highways its just heaven. Most Supra guys convert their sequentials to true right after they get them. I think Toyota did sequential more for an even power band as opposed to having more top end than low end.

many supra guys said TTC doesnt really help. Yes you do feel a sudden burst of power but does not help with time. But it does help keep the second turbo from crappy out on higher boost.
