Nope, you can only sim the after cat o2s. The primary o2s give feedback for target afrs.

I can't confirm if that will work because I've never used it. Maybe someone else can.

This is the one I've used.

I have 99 sc300 with 2jzge vvti - same engine as in gs3 but looking at 1st page of this thread, for some reason my headers look much less restrictive. Did they have different headers for sc and gs models?

[QUOTE]Actually, you were on to something there. I couldnt remove any of the three O2 sensors so I replaced all of them but I am only using one of them. /QUOTE]

which sensor did you use, Did you only have to use one O2simulator to bypass the other 3.

I'm curious why obx has separate part numbers for the gs and is, and the gs header is more expensive. If the midpipe has to be chucked anyway, makes sense to buy the is header and save the extra cash for a sim...anyone else's thoughts on this?

The only thing I can think of if they received a lot of complaints and they made the mid-pipe to NOW fit the GS; therefore, they're charging more money and have different part numbers.

If it's the same as it was before (same header as the IS/GS -2Gen GS) and you have to chuck away the mid-pipe, then I would get the IS one. They're probably trying to make extra loot from peoples ignorance. Hopefully that's not the case.

Should look like this when you are done.
I got a question on this part.....

5. Cut the E7 harness wires in position 25 and 26.
6. Solder O2 Simulator White wires to E7 harness wires 25 and 26.

After cutting wires 25 and 26.....and soldering them to the o2 simulator....I assume the other ends of wires 25 and 26 are just taped up...and NOT used at all....is this correct?

Installed my OBX header today with the stock mid pipe. Wrapped it in Thermotec to keep the temps down (you can grab the header briefly while the car is running with no burns). The back primary O2 sensor was a PITA to get in but finally got it up and running. One thing to help with the removal/install is unbolt the exhaust bracket from the bottom of the transmission (2 14MM bolts) this gives a bit more clearance.
The car is definitely louder when you get on it. Sounds more like an Infinity for lack of a better description. Using the trusty old G-tech the 0-60 has improved by .3 seconds and horsepower is up by 5. The power increase is very noticeable in the upper RPM range (4K+) and especially cruising at 65 and nailing it. The motor is running leaner now but I have an SRT intake system on the way so we'll see how that fairs. After the install I reset the ECU and took it for about a 150 mile drive. The mileage has increased by 3 MPG (stock midpipe/CA/exhaust) but long term tests will tell the true tale. After the drive the car has quieted down quite a bit as well. Peak ignition advance is still 39 degrees but it is much higher generally than before the header install. Perhaps reduced detonation has done this. Still building all the data but overall I am happy with the mod for now. Ultimately I will go FI but I just want to see what the 2J can do normally aspirated without getting into the motor itself (head work/cams/etc).
