Default Supercharged GS4's!!!

I have a few questions:

is $4,400 a good price for: RMM Kit, PI TC, SAFC II, Greddy BOV + more goodies?
how much hp / tq are you guys gettin' to the wheels at how much PSI?
have you had any problems?

MOST IMPORTANT PRO/CON of the supercharger kit?

and any additional information i should know before buyin' this kit?

My goodness....the MOD bug has bitten you bad.......it's addicting isn't it??

That seems like a good price but have you checked out this very detailed thread??? Lots of good info. Personally, if its a daily driver.....I would skip the FI cause I would expect that there will be more downtime then you would expect. If not....go for it!!!!!!

That defeat to the Mazda 3 has you thinking boost? Boost will definetly blow the doors off of that car and Mustangs, Vettes list goes on and on. Scrap the SRT snorkal, and take the plunge for the boost I will be next

my car is daily driven

wow this is making me NOT want to go FI after all...

I know everyone is mainly concerned on the cost but I think this is a good deal:
RMM SC Kit
Upgraded Injectors
PI TC
3" / 3.33" Pulleys
SAFC II
Greddy BOV
Belt Tensioner
Engine Management System
Bypass Valve
Brackets
+ installation

total price = $5300

i already have all these listed on my page: HERE

i know i'll have to buy like a new LSD, boost and other gauges, and maybe some other minor things, but what do you guys all think?

With a 3" pulley, that is pretty conservative boost, so I'd say 80 - 100HP gain.

How much is the install going to cost you? Plus 2-3 hours tuning/dyno time for the SAFC.

Little things like gauges, etc, can easily add up to $1000.

Don't compare the cost to FI a Lexus to that for say a Honda. Go see what it costs to SC a Benz or an NSX. We're cheap compared to those cars.

No matter what price people pay for their FI to start, somehow in the end they have an easy 8 to 10 k invested. Could be the urge for more boost, could be paying for the labor if you are not a DIY person, could be a lot of things.

If you wanna boost just so you can beat other cars on the road, then, you may wanna just get a honda/nissan and boost that car. Yes it is good to have the extra power, but if you really think about it, you don't really use it all that much except for nice take-offs at the light.

I only did mine because I had friends that really knew what they were doing and really wanted to see the first TT GS in Hawaii. Believe me, if it wasn't for the absence of the installation fees, free tuning, advice and direction, I wouldn't have done it.

Even with all the money I saved not paying for certain things, the stuff that I did pay for almost sent the price from it's original 6k pricetag to over 10k.

Would I do it again? Only if I had no other car to access. If I had gotten an S14 (Nissan 240sx) I could have spent much less, including the car and gotten much more horsepower. I wouldn't turn heads the way I do now but I am more into performance than looks. Look at my car, very basic looking (rims and drop-everyone has em, mild body kit-almost stock appearance), except for the GTR sized intercooler.

Plus with the price of gas nowadays, 3.20/gallon here in Hawaii, You aren't gonna be happy at the pump. Look at getting about 15-18 mpg if your tuner is good.

I think that's a good price. the PI TC alone is worth about $600 or so, depending how used it is.

I dont think you should be FI'ing your daily drive unless you have a backup car. If you really want to go FI with reliability (or proven to be..), do a 2jz-gte swap. Send me the 1UZFE when you're done
