Bet you Carson-Tuned will last longer, not rot as quickly. Maybe you West Coast boys don't shiv-a-git about that, but I sure do. Looks to me like the Carson is a better grade of stainless, but haven't seen them in person, so not sure. If it were me, I'd go with the better quality one (whichever one you decide that is), regardless of sound, since they both probably sound good, but different.

Carson Tuned for me—nice sound, not too loud, Opening is perfect, not too big like those canister type that you see on Ricers, and the quality is unmatched...

I have the Tanabe and am very happy with it. I like the carson also, just like the look of the Tanabe better.

Default Carson Tuned!

That Carson-Tuned exhaust looks absolutely awesome on the GS. Not that you make a habit of staring under your car, but the build quality looks excellent, and you can see how polished the stainless is all the way up to the cat.

I think ken (LXOGOOD) has had both exhausts. I would ask him before you make your choice. I dont think any of the members who have posted, have had both. I could tell you that I have the Tanabe, and that it is a great exhaust, but I have never had the the carson tuned.............

I think that was my post you were looking for aznxguy, I couldn't find that Tanabe SMH in stock anywhere (including ebay for whoever mentioned they're going for cheap there), and now I'm kind of glad I couldn't find it because I might be able to get the Touring Medalion from Steve for just a bit more than I was gonna pay for the SMH. I can't speak on the Carson Tuned except to say the price was (sadly) out of my range.
