Default SRT Intake Problem, CEL+VSC ON!!!!!!

Intake installed, no problem.. Engine runs fine without SRT ECU

With SRT ECU, CEL and VSC comes ON!!! Engine runs rich as f***

I have checked piping, hoses, everything with Intake seams fine

I've wire'd SRT ECU checked few times, took breake, checked again, first crank won't start, second time it does but idle's low,CEL+ VSC is on now also engine is running rich , reinstall MAF sensor backwords, crank engine once again, same thing, first time won't start, second yes but CEL+VSC still on

So i've reinstalled MAF back to original position same as above...

Now, got back to diagram, checked all wires, looks perfect

Remember wire you have to cut? I've cut this one again, switched wires, crank again, same s*** CEL+VSC on running rich

As of now, i've reconnected stock ECU wire back , crank'd engine and no CEL+VSC anymore and it's not running rich.....but all remaining SRT ECU wires are still attached to stock ECU, except green and orange in/out from SRT ECU

What's your sugestion? any ideas?

I just installed a new SRT Intake in my 1999 GS 400 this morning. All went just fine. I haven't taken it our for a substancial ride but I did a few laps around the hood and everything behaved normal. I did note that the 'white' wire from the SRT ECU is 'Gray' but other than that the instructions were acurate.

I thought it was a fairly straight forward DIY project. Are you sure you connected to the right wires and the connections are electrically good. Remember you tap into all but one which needs to cut. When you solder make sure the solder flows or you could have a 'cold solder joint' (ie. open circuit). SRT states no crimping; solder only. Most likely a safe guard against vibration causing the crimp to become intermittant. Also make sure your vaccum line connections are correct.

You might want to give SRT a call on Monday morning if you don't resolve it.

Good Luck!

Default Problem , not anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I took whole wiring apart and started from very begining....

What was a deal? Everything i have done previously was done, right....except?

After i got insulation off, seamed that some exposed wires have had thin invisible insulation film and i have to admit that i had problems soldering some of them, i've tought about that (cleaning them) but i assumed if nothing got in betwen insulation and wire before so it should be crystal clean and ready to go, my bad....i was wrong, it cost me so much time and thinking that i was close to give up SRT stuff, plus it was 30 degres outside and my mother in law garage is not heated.....that was another factor of my madnesssss.........

Used some alcohol, cleaned them well, and it worked awsome...!!!!!!!!!

THE END

So now, everything is fine, took hot shower and i'm ready to start litlle party, i'll get drunk tonight, for sure
