I was just curious if I could find out what others are getting with their mods, driving style and city/highway mileage.

Personally, I don't have much highway at all. At MOST its 20%. Not only that, my car barely has time to get to operating temperature from the time I get out of my driveway, and then to work (2.5 miles) or even a gas station or walmart. (3-4 miles)

So, that being said, and letting you know that I drive with my rear wheels spinning and foot in the gas I'm getting about 13mpg right now in this 20 degree weather!!!

Admittedly, I LOOOOVE the throaty sound of these JB Headers and the HKS exhaust. WOW! I can't keep my foot out of it, I gotta hear that sound! it's not just the HKS either, I've had them for a year. It's those darn headers. From idle to 1/3 throttle, all is pretty normal, but when you dig in deeper, it just gets throaty and starts sounding way too cool. And I even have a stock intake and filter! (I need to get sound clips!)

What are your mods and what are you getting? Be sure to mention your driving mix and style!!

ok i guess i am very much a grandpa...... i reset my odometer every time, and usually i add gas when i go about 250 to 270 miles, and to the full it will be about 13 gallons of gas....

so do the math, that's a whopping 19-20mpg!!!!! i can't be happier, considering that i have tc and lsd, and occasionally i will decide to go at it and have some fun

I have no motor mods, and I average 15MPG. My driving style is to floor it whenever I can. Shifting by hand (to the best of the shifter's ability). The car is a beast in 1st gear around town. A BEAST!

My driving is 80% highway, 20% city mileage-wise (or 50/50 time-wise).

2002 GS430.

im getting 19mpg on an otherwise stock GS4, my exhaust doesn'treally add any power, if anything its taking some away, which should help with the mileage

Similar to you guys, I would get 17-19 when the car was stock, driving around town mostly.

Then came the torque converter, and I dropped to about 15-17..

Then came the cold weather and the headers, and now I'm a fat and happy 13!

there's probably a good argument for how a 3.23 and TC keeps you in the TC slip-mode longer than if you had better gears like the 3.76's and a TC. Maybe my gas mileage will go UP when the LSD goes in!!

I think I average 15-16MPG per tank. Sometimes I hit 17.

I manually shift (for no reason) and gas it quite a bit. It's so fun.

I get 16.5 to 17.5 with a 3.76 lsd. Driving is mostly rush hour stop and go commute on the freeway..
When there's little traffic, I like to take advantage of the 3.76

but the 3.76 constantly keeps the rpm higher, i think that's more "serious" problem

For my car, I've noticed that lower RPM's don't exactly equate to better mileage. (per the NAV)
The NAV may not be perfect, but it will be equally wrong for all tests, eh?

For instance, before the headers, I got noticeably better highway mileage (2-3) at 80-82mph than I did at 70mph.

DAVE GS, glad to see I'm not the only one in the gutter here!
