http://www.missouri.edu/~apcb20/times.html#Lexus (14.3 stock 1/4)
And I thought I read that Motortrend extracted a 14.1. Sure, magazine times are magazine times but they still extracted (I believe) this time out of an automatic so it shouldn't be tough to duplicate. I will shut up and go to the track to see what I can do.

Thumbs up Tracks in Missouri

Are there some tracks in Missouri? How late into the season are the tracks open til? What kind of mods do you have on your car? Good luck at the track. I'm always interested in what other fellow lexus owner can do at the track. I think you're going to have a blast if you never been to the track. It really gets your adrenaline flowing! It's too bad not too many GS 400 owners go to the track, not too many Expensive Rides go to track! If I had a M5,M3,850csi,CLK430,C5.... I would definitely go to the track. That's why you buy these cars to go fast and the track is the only legal place to go fast. Once again have fun at the Track.

Default Grammer

Dave,
PLEASE DO ME A FAVOR AND DON'T CORRECT MY GRAMMAR! IF I WAS SO CONCERN ABOUT MY SPELLING AND GRAMMAR I WOULD CHECK IT BEFORE POSTING REPLIES. I GOT MY POINT ACROSS. If you got my point than you should know that your stock plugs are built to last 120K, it would be overkill and wasted money to buy new plugs, especially if you're not installing them yourself. But if you want to get new plugs, obviously I can't stop you, I'm just trying to give you my opinion.

GS4K,

Cool down dude, I wasn't attacking your grammar in any way.

Please read my post again, I was trying to clarify what you were saying and solicit more of an opinion and information from you (which at the time I valued, but now much less so after your little outburst. ).

What you posted was very contrary to what I'd experienced by changing plugs before their normal lifespan in previous cars - including some similar to those you listed in subsequent posts.

Sorry if you mis-read my intention.

Default Fine!

I am cool...what was your intent? To share your experiences with past vehicles... If that's it, I will take that for what it's worth. You should value information from other members that are mechanically inclined. These are the most knowledgeable members on this board. Members that go get dirty and slam their knuckles multiple times are the people that can help you when your mechanic can't. Members that go to get plugs put on during their services usually can not provide too much useful information. I'm by no means a mechanic nor do I claim to be but I have worked on my '98 Lexus for almost every maintenance, including spark plug change. This is why I do value posts from Swift Racing members and other experienced members. I think you know where I stand now and I'm done with you. Let me paraphrase something you said to me in your last post because I feel the same way, 'Your opinion don't mean **** to me!".

No problem. I've had my share of dirty and scraped knuckles too, rebuilt GTO and VW engines, etc but I'm at a point in my life where I'd rather pay a professional to do some of it for me and reclaim my own non-work time for my own use.

My intention in my original question - maybe I didn't state it clearly enough for you or YELL or curse when I said it, was to find out if you has some opinion that something bad was going to happen if you changed your plugs earlier than 120K. I asked this because you stated "but you shouldn't change them unless you have about 120K miles on your car" and you didn't give any reasoning behind why.

We can agree to disagree and you can be done with me if you wish. Your opinions are certainly meaningful, but your childish attitude here shows your true color and maturity level.
