Freinds shop just installed a RMM SC kit on a 98GS 400. It has relearned most of the stuff but still is trying to lean out the fuel by 35%. Have reset the engine code several times but still throws light and still tries to lean it out.
Has anyone tried clearing the computer and starting from scratch? RMM said that was not a good idea they had not tried that and not sure if it will work or not.
Any input would really help
Thanks

from my understanding any piggy back system will eventually run lean due to the factory ecu "learning" how to compensate. You will likely need to get a standalone fuel ECU, (I have the haltech F10X- fuel only computer), or full standalone computer. PM me if you have more questions.

Well actually it is not mine it is a friends. It was the last Super charger kit available from RMM. It was not that much really I think he paid 4500 for it. I have pictures and will put them up here tomorrow. Biggest problem was locating a place for the air filter.
well the filter did not fit that well under the piping so some relocation was done. I am sure if I like where it was located and would like some input on where everyone else has put their filters.
Mayber I will go to office computer and upload pics real quick
He is using the basic pulley sent by RMM I am not sure what size that is right now. I know he is only running like 5lbs of boost so it is a larger pulley.
I was noticing the LMS SC on this GS3
Looks like he placed the cone in the same place??? I am not sure about it cause that air has to be dam hot.
where i circled in red is where the air filter bracket goes
Yes that is where I thought it should go as well... The guy doing the install did not like the room he had to work with so he ran it up. Does anyone have any pics of theirs?
Like Dr. G said, it should curl under the charger and end up with the filter pointing forward right behind the headlight. There's just enough room for that there.
Sucking air from right above the manifold is probably not the best thing for performance.
