Had my exhaust redone and wanted to share some pictures. Basically he removed the 3rd cat and both resonators, ran 2.5" piping, custom made an X Pipe and then the duals run back to L-Tuned mufflers. All piping was mandrel bent.
Difference? Well, it is a lot louder. It is an aggressive loudness. Certainly gets peoples attention!! I will get a video of it soon so you can hear it. Here it is
I am not sure whether there was any HP difference. As soon as I get the headers in and get them installed I will be bringing the car to the dyno to see what she has
And here is a picture of what was removed. I was impressed to see that our cars have mandrel bent piping.
It was $300 out the door. Consider that it costs $45 for each bend I got a pretty good deal!! I send him a lot of business and am building a website for him so he hooked me up.

Between the SRT and the L-Tuned and the new piping - it sounds like a Corvette more than anything. And the LSD and TC just complete it

On one hand I am pleased to see someone make the effort to improve their system.
On the other I think you will see a loss if low to mid RPM torque/response. Why did you choose 2.5 pipes? A single 2.5" supports well over 300hp. Duals is WAY more capacity than needed.
Sorry to sound negative but I prefer others not go with these size pipes. In fact I am planning dual 2.25" feeding a single 2.5" pipe center pipe on a Y to Y ( >-< ) style system. The stock center pipe is 60mm so increasing that to 2.5" gains around 13% in flow area. This is enough for most applications. With exhaust you want the SMALLEST pipes that will support you peak power in order to maximize off peak power.

The reason I went with 2.5" pipes is because that is all he had for mandrel bending. Either 2.25" crush or 2.5 mandrel - so I went with the 2.5" mandrel.
After speaking in depth to my exhaust guy, he said that it would be more advantageous to go with an X pipe going back to duals than a Y pipe going to single and then back to Y.
Regardless, I may have lost low end, but I sure didn't notice it.
I am hoping the headers will take care of these problems.
