I just welded some borla tips on my GS4 and am wondering if I remove the center resonator or the 2 long ones, how will the exhaust sound? Drone?
Thanks
i took off my resonator and am happy with the sound. adds a nice lil "hum" to the exhaust note like a 350z but not as loud. You can really only hear it under WOT, but its there. costs 20 bucks here in fresno so i figured why not.
Having an aftermarket exhaust w/o resonators though sounds really good on some cars (HKS, apex'i comes to mind) and really bad on others (no name mufflers).
hows the soun on the l-tuned, pretty quiet? If so i'm guessing without the resonator itd give it a more hollow sound, bring the tone out a little more. Some people dont like that sound (because most civics or neons without resonators sound "tinny") others love it.
