Yeah, have had no problems related to the plugs. I had an incident this weekend that I think is alternator / voltage regulator related (more as I get more details about what went wrong) but plugs have been find.

I seem to recall on the TM's that the plugs were the same for both engines (surprised me when I heard this), can't say for sure for this application.

Thanks Dave... Cmon F.I. guys... what plugs are you running. Denso, NGK, Stock??? It's my understanding that you should be running a colder plug with F.I setups... I'm curious what everyone is running with their setup.

If the standard old school cheap copper plugs are fine for the 600hp+ supra guys, it will be fine for you too bro!

i actually agree on this. i forgot where i read it already, but it was on the is300 or supra i believe, where they are running crazy numbers but still just on the normal plugs. they said that shouldn't be the problems that you worry about.

again i just read it. i never really study that much on fi

I thought I had read a few threads where people switched from the OEM plugs and encountered problems. Just becuase the Supra guys are doing it doesnt neccessarily mean we can, remember we have those tempermental computers and such to deal with.

You probably read it on mkiv.com. Those guys are running such a highly tuned engine puking out mega hp that their plugs usually foul up within 2000-3000miles. Getting copper plugs are just economically more sound than the more expensive iridium plugs that will need to be replaced during the same duration anyway....

Guys, I'm really confused on this.. Some of the major tuners like SRT, Turbo East, Power House Racing all supply a 1 step colder plug with their kits. Is it because the kit is for the 2jz motor and it needs a colder plug? After doing a search on many forums, it seems like the NGK 3330 is a very popular spark plug for boosted GS/IS vehicles... Your thoughts? Maybe the GS400 has such a solid built motor that it can handle the extra heat from going F.I. thus can use the stock spark plug with no problems
