Much nicer in what way, power gain? fuel economy? If I dish out 400+ dollers for an intake I want it to give me 400+ dollers worth of better performance. I dont want to pay 400+ for an intake that will only make my engine sound better you understand what I mean?

well no intake for our cars will give better power mayb 7rwhp if any. but the Srt has been proven on dyno's with their gains in HP. i noticed much nicer gain in higher wot and actually a better gain that the weapon-r in lower wot aswell but the quality of sound and no engine lights was what made me decide it was better aswell besides the small increase in power.

it's all in the piggy back.. If you use a weapon R (or any similar intake) w/ SAFC. You'll get about the same results or better.

from my reading, intake only make noise and you can't really feel the extra power. if you're going for the sound, then go for it. It's like an exhuast system, same thing....noise.

bingo , right on the money calvin i have tested and tried a few , nothing to write home about intakes are primarily for forced induction for you want as much air as possible into the turbine to be compressed

Check ouy SRT dyno test, it clearly shows an increase in power so I dont think its just sound , buy you never know.

dynoed may say increase but getting it to the rear wheels is another story. it may be best to try out your friends and see if you feel a difference before laying out the cash.

From reading on th IS300.net the VVTI cancels out the Piggyback so its kind worthless. Like they already said no intake will give you great gains. Its all just noise at the end maybe 6-7 rwhp combined with a catback exhaust on a 300

On either FI or NA more air is better period, colder air is better on both but more for NA than FI because with FI you have the intercooler to help out to cool down the air going back into the throttlebody.

An intake design is more important on a NA car over a FI car. Why? Cause the the turbo has a compressor wheel that sucks in the air like a vacum. Many turbo cars have the intake cone right on the compressor housing even, where as it has been proven that cold air intakes on NA cars perform a lot better than warm air/short ram intakes.
