Default Tom's Exhaust Finally On

I had to give up my Tanabe's because the piping interfered with the Tom's 6-link kit. Yes, there were many cheaper ways to address the issue - I think I was just looking for an excuse to move to the Tom's Exhaust.

Sound is nice - actually a bit deeper than the Tanabe's with a different "rasp" and quieter. I'm sure the sound will change as they get broken-in. Build quality and finish are outstanding. The Tom's tips and cans seem tiny compared to the Tanabe and I wish the tips extended out another inch or so - but perhaps I won't scrape the tips as much when I go up inclines.

Congrats Red.

How come you are never at your home when you are taking pics of your car?

HAHA I was just about to comment on that. Seems red does his best picture taking in front of my neighbors house. The first body kit pics were taken at that exact same spot.

Guess I'm the first place he stops by since I'm kinda between his house and his installer.

Exhaust looks even better in real life.

Wow Chris that looks outstanding. Rare and very clean!

My Carson Tuned exhaust has the same clean welds on the canister and piping! Looks awesome.

Chris, your car is looking sick man. All you need now is the TOMS vented hood to complete the car.

LOL. That would cost him as much as the other Tom's pieces put together. Well close to it, anyway.

The exhaust or the hood?

For a ballpark, the price on Steve's website is $1150 for the exhausts and $3800 for the hood.

You ain't kidding - last I checked that CF Tom's hood was $3500+, and that was before the last 6 months of dollar to yen downward spin.

That's $1570 for the exhaust only... Of course I got the special Tom's discount.

Thanks - but compared to you and a few others I am but a humble grasshopper.
