First I would like to say I really like this site and have talked to a lot of cool people but for those of you that are on here just to show off your pics but don't want to help people when it comes to finding parts or info on car you guy are sad and you know who I am talking about

Anyways I wanted to know if somebody could help me with a little info on the SRT turbo. I am thinking about getting in but from what I have heard is unless I get a stick I only can have about 350hp or I will burn out the trans in no time. I see on there site that you get a trans cool for like 350.00 but will that work I want to go stage 2 or 3 but don't want to lose my car over it. Well if anybody can help please do thanks guys

 

350 for a trans cooler, thats a lot. TE's trans cooler is cheaper. I went with a B&M trans cooler, very straightforward install. I progressed from the TE's ESK 2.0 to Toyo's VB upgrade. .
With the ESK 2.0 and the trans cooler, I was running with the PLP Vortech kit, 312 rwhp and no problems, tranny wise..
some of the best Drag cars use auto trannys to avoid mis-shifts and mis-shifts can definitely cause problems..
I got mine from Summit.

 

I wouldnt worry about it, SRT rebuilds transmissions to make them race ready. It may or may not be included in teh cost of the kit I am not sure but I can almost guarrantee that they will beefu up the transmission if it needs it.
