anyone know where i can get this done in cali???
thanks..
also, what are potential gains?
and, will the IS300 still pass the smog test w/ exhaust?
thanks again...
dual exhaust will not give u added performance, more likely to loose performance if anything. it is heavier and doesnt hold as much backpressure as needed.
thanks for the input..
i just saw the dual exhaust and it looked awesome...
i was hoping that it would increase power, but if it doesnt , then im not gonna get it...
thanks again...
ps.. is there a bolt on exhasut for any exhaust that u would recommend for the IS300??
isn't the IS300 (single exhaust) engine the same as the GS300 (dual exhaust)?
IMO that exhaust system looks nice and might actually increase HP but shift the torque curve a bit higher, looks like a good alternative for somebody looking for a meaner more aggresive low sound and higher performance.
Since no Dyno charts are offered I can't say it is better than the single outlet stock exhaust system.

I think that it's true if you upgrade your exhaust on the IS300 it could be helpful, but dual aftermarket exhaust is too much. If it's dual stock GS300 exhaust bolted on then it'll increase the power. Fat pipes will get rid of all the necessary backpressure.
I would recommend a strait-pipe single cat-back exhaust. Try something like the APEXi N1 or HKS or GReddy or Blitz or whatever, some Japanese tuning companies.
I agree. The IS has its particular exhaust as part of the design parameters from the factory. A dual exhaust would probably not add anything in the way of performance.
Conversely, there are great single exhausts out there which have been documented to add pretty good power (i.e. HKS, 5Zigen).
