I noticed that some of the high hp is300 like up in the 600+hp use a getrag transmission. i would like my 04 is300 to have a 6 gear for cruz mode , so would it be a good thing to put in the supra tt six speed transmission or to buy the getrag, i am sure that the getrag trans is big bucks. but do you think that the supra tt 6spd can fit on the is300. i think that all you have is speedo and reverse sensor on the trans or am i wrong? this must sound like a noob question.

 

The tranny will fit with modification to the transmission tunnel on your IS. There's a little more to it than just dropping the tranny. You should try searching on my.is for some answers. There's plenty of folks that have done the swap there.

 

the supra tt 6speed tranny IS the Getrag tranny. it will cost you somewhere between 6-10K pending on if you get used parts or new.
