Lexus4659,

kyle3481 's cost will give you a starting point. The "problem" is that he started with the RMM SC, which are no longer available. You (or a shop) will have to put together an SC kit as well.

by fabricating you feel building a full charger kit from scratch, with no piping and stuff? if so, it's going to be costly, i say about 10k easy

I disagree...

The Blower is around $1200-1500USD depending on if U want a vortech V1 or V2 SQ..
Intercooler is around 500USD, piping is around 300-400if U buy from the same wholesalers that the shops get it from..
The Main thing is U got to make a custom bracket to hold the supercharger... 500-700USD..
U can contact toyomoto for this... or any good shop..

I would say, parts and labour U out the door more or less what the RMM kit costs...
Trust me I was going to do this myself, but changed my mind because i got a faster car now,
If U need more info I can help U...

I'd be surprised if they can. I know someone who tried this (CC ready) and still has nothing to show for it.

If I knew how to go about getting a supercharger installed on my 2001 gs430 for less than 4K - I'd def. do it.

Trust! It can be done...

Most important part is the bracket... U can do that, U can do the rest!

The Lextreme bracket is for a 400 and it fits on the opposite side, but maybe it's possible to flip it over. Regardless, a 430 bracket will be different.

Other costs not mentioned are injectors- $650, walbro fuel pump- $100, the V2 SC (which RMM uses) costs $2000, A/F managment system Greddy/or SAFC $400. The intercooler on the RMM kit is custom made, not an off the shelf Ebay item so bump it up to $750.

Now the intercooler piping is also not made up of ez 90 degree bends. If you duplicate the RMM set up, the piping is not simple AT ALL !! Even a do it yourselfer will spend many nights getting it done right.

I assume you are not doing the install yourself, fabricating the piping or the tuning and dyno time. If that's the case, the labor, dyno time and the additional parts cost above will take you well over 5K and some of the better shops will charge up towards 7-10k, depending on the tuning required.

I think your bigging it up a bit man...

Thats true that U need bigger injectors, if U want to run more boost...
at 5psi your stock injectors are fine....
U don't need tuning as morris stated in his posts.. if U stay with 3.16 pulley..

But yes SAFC II is good, intercooler is $400USD off ebay and U can make shop do custom endanks for u if U like RMM specs or U can run it like SRT spec, which I was planning.. U pass the piping by box where ECU is at...

U need fuel pump..... $100

Main concern is bracket, U can make a good shop do it for u for $500-700 max for your specs for your car... once U have supercharger in hand, your mechanic just needs to play with it and get it right...

piping U can get for really cheap like $200-300 from a wholesaler...

90degree bends are made already U can purchase them made like that from wholesaler..

I say U run SRT specs... longer piping but u can do 2'' to conpensate for pressure drop..

or even better if U run 5-7spi, U will not require intercooler... if U really worried... Run methonal injection kit.. I think they are $400USD for the best kit that kicks in from 1psi to whatever U want it to... I recommend this and U will not have deal with pressure drop...

So lets do math again...

Blower $1500-2000USD
bracket $500-700
piping $300
HKS blow off valve=$200
lines etc $100-200
fuel pump $100
labour should be like $700-1000

U looking at 4K installed my friend.. depending on how much Hp u want, whether U want to run methonal injection or go bigger injectors for a 2.87pulley, that up to U.. But basic setup to get U
over 300WHP is that much..

Hope this helps...
