Need a litte advice. I ordered a injen cold air itake. I was told that this was not the one to buy by a guy that works @ the dealer here. He recommended the srt one. Which one is better? Or is there any thing else out there that will work just as good.
I have the Gs4 with SRT intake + ECU right now, It is worth the $$$
U will gain like 25WHP on the Gs4 and like 10WHP on the IS300 or gs300.
I will not go with injen,
First of all they are cold air intakes and they set of codes...
I have had 2 buddies to do this, 1 on is3 and one on 04maxima.. They both had problems with injen, but it sounds great when U hit VVTI around 5,000RPM's

I have a gs 300, the srt has to be mounted in with the fuel harness right? I remember reading some guy forum saying he had a hard time adjusting this to make the car run right. Can you send some advice to put this on and adjust?
With the injen intake, There is no Chip.
With the SRT unit, There is a Chip.
So when U install the intake unit, U also have to install the piggy back unit that it comes with.
A skilled mechanic can do this no problem, SRT gives u all the instructions on how to install the whole system from intake to the chip.
Just be careful that U give it to someone who knows what their doing... or U will have problems with the chip.
I remember that if not installed properly it will set off your check engine light.....
Unless U want the injen kit+ SAFCII unit+ tuning which at the end gives a little more HP but cost a lot more $$$$
I've used the SRT intake and was very satisfied, there was a definite increase in felt power. I alson installed the intake and ECU my self in my garage. It wasnt really that diffucult.
My car stock dyno'd 225WHP and 230WTQ
After SRT =255WHP and 265WTQ i gained even more than that!
Even on SRT's dyno sheet U can see how much they gained!

225RWHP is 270HP (20% loss), I thought the 2000 GS400 was stock 300HP
255RWHP is 306HP (20% loss).

~Typically around 240 or so, depending on the dyno, weather and other variables.
~The 225 HP figure given by lex400pshR is very low.
~I wouldn't expect a 30 HP gain from just the SRT intake (in spite of what the website claims).

I guess i will be going with the srt, what exhaust system matches well with the system?
