Default Dirty air filter... Need to replace... Suggestions?

Hi all, need recommendation on new air filter for the GS400

1. Paper filter - Can I pick this up at Discount Auto or Pep Boys?
2. TRD filter? - How long does it last? Works well? Needs to be oiled?
3. TOM's? - Same questions as above but Carson Website says 8 weeks for delivery... TOO LONG.
4. SRT or K&N - Not interested in price or sound so don't recommend.

The factory filter is actually cotton. I would go with that. The K&N/TRD style can be a pain when it's time to clean and re-oil and according to what I've seen here the power gains are questionable.

The OEM filter in my opinion is the best out there by a long shot for smooth/quiet and clean operation.

A higher performance filter may gain you an extra horsepower or two at best, but it's also going to let more dirt in, plus possibly oil from the filter itself. And if quiet is your thing... the higher performance filters are noticably louder.

I ordered mine from www.lexus-parts.com for a pretty good discount off of my dealer's normal pricing, plus I think a 10% off code, plus no sales tax.

I ordered several air filters, cabin filters, oil filters, and brake calipers all at once just to hold me over for a while.

I got mine from a bud a Toyota for $30. Maybe Darrel or Steve G can save you off the dealer price. With shipping it might come out the same though. I think it's $40 retail and if I remember right it's made by Denso (that might have been my cabin filter or both, at least one of them are Denso anyway.)
