Default 98 Turbo w/AFM

Hey guys,

I've got a 98 Supra NA-T (same as the GS300 engine...almost) and I've mounted the AFM on the cold side (after the intercooler) with the BOV mounted on the charged side of the piping (pre-intercooler) not being recycled back into the intake. I'm having some issues. Should this be working ok? or did I do something wrong?

Please help!

Main question here is, and I ask because I dont know.. can the 2jzge MAF be used as a blow thru successfully?

What "issues" are you having, specifically?

I've got the boost logic turbo kit installed. I've got the BOV installed before the intercooler and the MAF installed after the intercooler less then 12 inches from the throttle body. I do not have the BOV discharge going back into the intake.

Before starting the car I reset the ECU. The car started with no problems. It seemed to run fine during cruise and mild boost (under 7lbs.). After a day or so......about 4 starts I began to notice that the car would stuter a bit while driving up slight grades. Following that I would be at cruise (dead on 14.7), not boosting at all and the car would start to lean out like from 14.7 to free air!! within seconds! It would be at cruise just driving along and it would do this. I would let off the gas for a few seconds then re-apply the gas and it would be at 14.7. I then when into boost and the car seemed to be fine until I let off the gas and the BOV would discharge. I then re-applied the gas and the AFR was 14.7 then started to lean back up too free air!! It's weird that it would run fine after the ECU is reset.

I am running the ESC1. It seems to be doing it's job while under boost. I do also have a E-Manage. I've tried dumping a ton of fuel in the area where the problem was occuring...with no luck.

My MAF is a black jet engine looking thing inside the IC piping.

Any ideas on what would be causing this problem?
