idle problems written about
This low idle bugs me too and on one seems to know how to correct it.
In seeing all that has been discussed on low idles. My car GS400 has aftermarket air intake. I have watched the idle go from 400 rpm to 600 rpm while in Drive position, no ac on. Taken note of the conditions at those times. Just Sat. past, 82 degrees out, idle low at 4-4.5, sudden light showers comes over and goes on, humidity kicks up a little, not bad but a little and all of a sudden car is idling a perfect consistant 600.
I get the feeling that this is all related to the computer. We drive around normal and then all of a sudden we are asking the computer to go into performance mode. Computer changes and we are stuck with those changes.
Oh one more thing, using ECT power mode when cruising hills, you can for sure tell a difference, must enrich mixture or something like that.
