Default turbo on GS300

Does anyone know how much work it would be to install an FMAX turbo kit on a 2000 GS300? It comes complete with everything except head gasket including fmic and it actually has three extra injectors instead of the normal 2. . Kit originally came out of a supra. Also....what about the tranny holding up? Please...I need input.
Thanks, Silas

The F-max kit won't work on your gs because of the VVT-i..It doesn't have the proper engine management..Which is why Fmax only offers their kits for supras 93-97 only..I could be wrong but turbonectics which is now the owner of the fmax, has been doing some improvement on the old Fmax kit and is currently producing some more kits..You may want to contact turbonectics and find out if it will work or not for sure..Heres their web site..

I was told by a Lexus tech that I could disconnect the VVTI. Iknow I would have to run a stand alone ECU.

aristo300: johnee78 is correct. the F-max setup was for pre 98 and older models. trying to disable VVTI is NOT the way to go! Why not look into the SRT 98+ setup they have for our GS. BTW: I have done a ton of research on the the turbonetics setup and they offer nothing for our newer cars. I spoke to the VP and their installers at SEMA last year and they were hopeful to have something for our cars but nothing as of yet. Here is a pic of the turbo setup at SEMA last year.

ummm, i am always curious. yes for daily drive, disabling the vvti might not be a good thing. but if you have a standalone ecu, disable the vvti, and if you have enough boost and power on the car, why would you still care that much about the vvti?

don't get me wrong, having vvti probably is still a nice thing to have. however i am not sure if not having it is a bad thing for sure
