Stock diff and Supra Torsen diff weigh pretty close to the same. I think it's the casing that's super heavy. I recently shipped a stock diff and it was 93lbs. I think the Supra one is about the same.

While having my 3.76 LSD installed today (see my new thread) I weighed it and the stock unit
TT Supra 3.76 LSD: 93.5 lbs
Stock GS400 diff: 86.5 lbs
Easy to see why when you see them both side by side up close- the Supra LSD housing is larger! There is an area underneath like a sump for more gear lube and also more heat sink fins cast into the housing. There could also be a slight weight increase due to the Torsen gear mechanism inside.
