since the ratio is better for accel (3.9 vs the supras 3.7 or 430's 3.2), will an is/gs300 diff with the lsd bolt up? Anyone try this?

it's bolt up, but you probably don't want to do that coz' the gear ratio is so high you will spin the tires way too easy. and moreover, it doesn't have lsd

in theory, i could put in a kaaz lsd and reap benefits? Even with wider rear tires you think traction would be a problem?

I think this mod, with the proper support mods, could make a very potent combination.

Nope, dif is different. IS300 uses a Chaser JZX 100 rear dif whereas the GS400/300 use the Supra rear dif. Try a Kaaz or ATS Carbon LSD for the appropriate model and a torque converter to get best results.

I wanted the 3.9 diff instead of the 3.7, so since the gs300 diff bolts up, i could get an lsd that would match that and use it right?

I've heard good things with accel, bad with mileage bout this swap. Just seein all options.

So the gs430 can have the supra 3.76 lsd dif? Is this direct bolt on? Any error codes? What model supra does it ccome from and what is apprimate price for this?

To clarify for you guys ( and this has been covered 10X or more)

- NO 2GS ever came with LSD (except some JDM aristo TT)

- GS300 diff bolts in ( you may need to swap the pinion flange) ratio is too low if you do highway much

- MKIV supra AUTO TT ( and also note - NOT ALL supra TT's have LSD)
