How much does Mo charge for his ECU? Is this similar to the ECU he sells with his intake?
If so, I do like the idea of a hideaway ecu instead of a controller under the dash. I must admit I am surprised you picked up more HP with this than an adjustable AFC unless as you stated it was not tuned correctly.

The SRT ECU is the same one that they sell with their intakes, but obvioulsy it is tuned different for the SC set up. By the way, not only did I gain a rediculous amount of HP, I also got rid of all of the check engine lights that I had with the SAFCII. In my opinion, the SAFC was a waste of money for me. Call Mo for the price, I know what I paid was considerably less that the SAFCII. The only problem with their ecu is they have to tune it. Im sure they have the base map from my set up, it should be really close if your running the same stuff.

Orbit, go with the SRT valave body instead of the RMM....their new one is definitely different than the RMM.

Thank you for the assistance. I will give him a call this week. The anticipation is hurting.
So much that I am looking to get one on the Tundra as well.

Want to say thanks to Pearlpower for helping and starting the post because I have the same question that you have. Also thanks to klynchgs4 and Neo and any other people that helped out.

By the way, for people that have the RMM SC or the SRT Turbo, what's your 0-60 and quarter time? RMM claims 349 rwhp, do you get close to that?

Thanks again

Orbit9,

Sounds as if your local. Do you intend to install this yourself?
I will take it on in about 2 weeks if all the parts are there.

I am kind of close to RMM in Huntington Beach (about 40 min drive local) and I just went there today. I don't intend to install it myself because I don't have the tools and am not knowledgeable enough to do it myself. I talked to Blair today and just ordered the SC kit + RMM Exhaust + Valve Body upgrade. I told him that I ordered the Torque Converter from PI and he said if you order from RMM then the TC from PI is specially adjusted for RMM SC. I don't know if that's true but I already ordered my Dragon TC so it is too late. What do you guys think? Is he telling the true?

Blair also said that if you want to go for the 370 injectors then you need a AFC otherwise you will run too rich (or lean? I don't remember)....

Well, I will have to wait one week also for them to get all the parts and Blair said once the necessary parts are gone they will stop selling the SC kit (which I think he said they only got about 2 or 3 left). Then they will have to schedule for me to leave my car there.

Well, Blair was pretty helpful and I can't wait to have the kit installed.

orbit - when you ordered the t/c from pi - did you tell them that you were going to have a supercharger installed? the rmm t/c IS the dragon from pi. if you did not tell pi about the t/c, then call them back and let them know. as far as the afc...talk to reggie at xs-engineering - they installed mine and have tuned it. so far so good. if you were on the east coast, i'd say go to srt for tuning and their ecu.

I didn't know you are suppose to tell them about SC when you buy the TC. I hope I am not too late telling them because I placed the order last week. What exactly is the difference for regular TC and the one for SC? Aren't they all listed as High-Performance TC?

Ok, I will talk to Reggie about the AFC.

Thanks

the thing with the t/c is stall speed - if you tell them you have a supercharger, they will adjust the stall speed (i think to 2,400 - not sure) anyway, it's the same t/c - only difference is stall speed. you can always send it back to pi for an adjustment. i'm pretty sure they offer a free stall speed adjustment within the first year (maybe even 2 years). check it out.

2400 stall speed. The guy selling the TC told me he will adjust to 2800. Will the difference between 2400 and 2800 make a big difference? Can a tuner shop adjust the stall speed?

This is getting a little complicated....

again - i'm not sure the stall speed they adjust to for a s/c (i thought i read somewhere it was 2,400 - i could be wrong). i don't know what kind of difference you will see between 2,800 and whatever they would adjust it to for the s/c. if you have a good tranny guy, he would most likely be able to adjust the stall speed for you. if it were me though, i'd send it back to pi.

you can do a search for stall speed on the board or i think it's talked about a bit on pi's website.

i see you also asked about 1/4 mile times and hp numbers...

to date, my best 1/4 mile time at a sea-level track is 13.3 @ 103 (carlsbad) - before the s/c when i only had t/c and intake, my best at the same track was 14.5 @ 95.

last dyno i did had me at 351 rwhp and 311 ft/lbs of torque

other guys with the rmm s/c have dynoed as high as 378 (tturbopimp - i think). i have yet to see any of the other rmm s/c owners post 1/4 mile times

Good dyno numbers.

klynchgs4, have you ever go against a M3 or any high performance car?

By the way, I got my TC from TM Engineering but it is made by PI. I suppose TM Engineering can do the adjustment (I hope).

i swear i though i posted a reply to this yesterday - must have forgotten to make it final - anyway...

to date i've beaten every m3 and m5 i've ever raced against, then again none of them had slicks and i do, well cheater slicks anyway (m/t et streets). i would love to race against an m3 with slicks or drag radials and a driver who can launch & shift. the best (most satisfying) race i've ever had was against an older guy in a z06. the only reason i won was my reaction time and my tires - he had street tires. he ran a 13.1 to my 13.3, but his trap speed was 115mph - mine was 103mph. most drag races are won or lost on the launch - the 60' time is key.

i had a very good run against a guy in a modded audi s4 - we were on a deserted street near my house and were dead even from 0 to 90.

Wow, so you got 13.3 with slick? I guess with regular street tires it would be hard to beat M3 or may be not?

Also, if I want to increase the boost in the future then getting a smaller pulley and may be a new injectors should be ok? What else do I need to watch out for?

Thanks

if you're getting the 370 cc injectors, then you should be ok. mo at srt says don't go above 8.5-9.0 lbs on stock internals - i've had mine on for just over a year now, no problems.
