Default Gas Mileage gain/loss from intake?

New Member so stick with me. I am looking at getting the SRT intake but have concerns about gas mileage given my daily commute is @80 miles both ways. SRT website claims improvement in mileage which doesn't really factor in my descision but any degrade would give me pause. I am looking forward to the performance gains (however little) and believe it or not a little grumble from under the hood also appeals to me (any comments on noise would be appreciated.) Thanks in advance.

As long as no one is seeing any reductions, other than from putting your foot in it

The only reduction you will feel is a small loss in low end torque. Off the line, your car will feel more sluggish (since initially, the intake will be sucking hot stagnant air from the engine bay, but as you accelerate and have more airflow coming into the intake, it will obviously help more unrestricted air into your throttle body.
