Looks good. I can't wait to see your install pics for the headers.

The header install was gonna go down this weekend, but the gasket I needed didn't come in.

Also, from the exhaust dyno graph that was posted @ is300.net, looks like a SAFC is needed to get the full performance from the lack of back pressure when removing the stock cats.

I am looking at the APEXi SAFC-II, any comments on this particular unit?

The S-AFC II is a great unit. It's been widely used in the Camry Solara platform we used to work on. Definitely beneficial for any application.

Default afc

Yeah i got the S-AFC II of ebay seller powergarage for $290 shipped. Not good, the unit has a glitch in it or something happened so i'm sending it back to them. Spoke with a dude at a performance shop and he said the greddy e-manage or HKS tuner work better. IMO, it would have been cheaper and easier to have just ordered the SRT intake that comes with the chip and gotten that one. That or just bought my **** from the shop and had the whole 9 yards done there. So what if they have the older AFC or it costs a little more. It's just a pain in the *** buying stuff over the net. Just cause if it breaks it's a pain to send back and the whole process has taken me over a month so far. Now i have a cheap BOMZ intake, and a glitchy AFC. Both are pissing me off right now. SRT = one package + performance. Only thing is that the SRT doesn't give the gains you would want from the header though. So, it's sort of a toss-up.

Perhaps you just got a unit that has an electronic problem?

Most people have good things to say about them, honestly you are the first person to have anything negative about it.

However, it is an electronic component and will have the problems that all electronics do...

Thank for the 411.
