Default Help On Intake Decision

this is probably a dumb question but i am new so. i am looking for an intake for mmy car i dont want to spend more thatn 400 for it, every picture i see of the car with the intake has the cover off the engine , does this have to come off, i like the look of the cover. also do you know where i could get a good intake. i beleive i am going with the apexi or tanabe exhaust system and thought i would throw an intake on it at the same time. get suggestions would be very helpful thanks

Try the PLP intake. SRT is around $500.00 but you get a race ECU also.

Hi! here is my .02 worth.

i have the weapon r intake w/ cold air box. no ecu upgrade. cost me $220. I love it. I did not use the weapon r air filter though. i used a kn cone filter instead, cuz i dont trust the weapon r sponge filter.

i just got to hear what it sounds like from the outside. my friend drove the car by me as i stood on the street. awesome. when you gun it, u hear the whistle sound as it sucks the air, sounds like a supercharger, then at wot...it really kicks @ss...sound wise. i also have the trd catback exaust...
