does anyone know anything about the tanabe exhaust for the gs300 98 and up , does anyone have it or know anything aboutit, or maybe where i could find a clip of what it would sound like. thanks
rick
I have it. Mine came off a GS300 and it bolted directly onto my GS400. It sounds great, even better once the rear resonators are removed. My car was part of the 8 cylinder 2003 Norcal meet exhaust competition and you can do a head to head compare with other combinations. See also the 6 cylinder competition.

Thanks, might have been able to win if I was deeper in the round. It was at least as much how you played the crowd as how your exhaust sounded.

They are an integral part of the exhaust. You remove them by cutting them out with something like a sawzall and welding straight through pipe in their place. Sounds like a pain but a good exhaust shop can do the work in less than a 1/2 hour. As good as it sounds I did not actually remove mine for that reason. I have the Tom's closed rear brace and the resonators rubbed where they passed over.
