Default Strange noises and actions when stoped

When I break to a full stop then let up on breaks occasionally it makes a clunking noise and once in a while when fully stoped it acts like the transmission wants to surge any ideas what's going on.

could be from worn transmission mounts or engine mounts. They can cause the transmission to shift slightly when stopping and starting. It could also be a U-joint or driveshaft issue. I’d start by checking the mounts. Also maybe get the transmission fluid level checked too
