Default Question: 2017 IS 350 Muffler Delete w/ Welded Stock Exhaust & Tip

If I were to delete the muffler from my exhaust and weld it, what type of exhaust sound should I expect to get? I’m also aware that I may be able to change the resonators or delete them. I would do that in addition to the muffler delete if the muffler delete alone sounds bad. Any thoughts?

Three options:
Commit to a full straight pipe. Which I don't recommend on these IS Platforms ever.
OR delete the secondary cats, and mess with the resonator, and leave on the stock mufflers.
OR delete the secondary cats, leave the stock resonator, then get some kind of Axle-Back with more "flow" with quad tips/nicer dual tips.

I don't recommend to delete or change resonators. I have yet to see a delete or custom that does not result in major drone throughout the cabin. OR that does not result/produce cabin rattle/vibrations as compared to stock.

When changing mufflers. Borla is one of the most expensive, but produces the best sound both inside/out IMO. Although they only come with dual tips.
You can find off-brand quad-tip mufflers for 1/3rd of the price of the Borla/others on Ebay. Which is the route I went, as they are the only mufflers I could find with quad-tips.

Option 4: He can do a muffler delete no problem. Keep everything stock but delete the mufflers.

Muffler delete is the fastest way to a ticket/mandatory vehicle inspection by the popos in Canada. Which is why I didn't list it as an option.
I imagine its probably the same across most states. Especially in Cali

Probably in CA due to noise restrictions. But many states in the US do not care. Mufflers aren’t doing anything for emissions anyway so you’ll pass most state inspections without them.
