Default SC400 - Labor to replace right outer tie rod end

Hi guys,

A shop has my Lexus and is claiming that it is a 1.8 hour job to replace this one part. Considering how easy it is to get to it I find that a bit dubious. Any idea what the real time is to replace this?

Thank you in advance,
W

Yeah that seems a bit high. Unless there is something seriously wrong with it, that's not right. With that being said, a lot of the time you'll have to do an alignment after replacing the tie rods so maybe they are including that as well? Personally its such an easy job i would just do it myself and get the alignment after

Thank you for the insight. I subscribed to AllDataDIY.com and found the repair listed at 1.3 hours. Showed it to the shop manager and he discounted the ticket.
