Default E85 Conversion?

Hey all, I bought a 99 SC400 a couple months ago and have been working on replacing the rear subframe and brake system. One thing I wanted to know was if anyone has converted their SC to run on E85. There's a couple stations near me that offer it, and I believe that over the long run it would be cheaper than buying 93 premium. Any thoughts or opinions?

Welcome to Clublexus.

To use E85 , too much stuff you would need to change. First your stock ecu won't work cause it is tuned for Pump 89-93. So you will have to use an aftermarket ECU. Your fuel lines are small,. E85 uses 35% more volume . And because of that , you will need a fuel pump that flows more . These are some of the things why there is no point of going E85 on a stock SC400.

Good Luck on whatever mods you will do on your SC400. Enjoy it !
