Default Odd electrical problem - what did I blow up?

So hey again everyone! I ordered a ton of LED bulbs from superbrightleds - everything went on pretty much without incident until I got impatient and frustrated with the non-visible polarity of the bulbs. I had the Climate Control and Radio ***** out and was replacing the A/C ON bulb at the top by twisting it in when the bulb housing started to smoke. I yanked the bulb out and by that time, the lights in my ODO/RESET area on the bottom of my cluster housing were out, as well as the A/C ON and RADIO backlights, the backlights for the transmission positions, and the cigarette lighter light (as well as the cigarette lighter itself) are out now. I can't find a broken fuse, nor did I see any fuses that were obviously burnt. What do you guys think I blew up? Just wanted to see if anyone had any idea or a similar experience before I rip the whole dash out. Thanks everyone!

What model are we talking about here?

Will assume early years. Does your fuel gauge, etc still work? If so, check your rheostat for illumination adjustment. All are powered off the 10 amp gauge fuse, if those gauges work the only thing left in common is the rheostat.
