Radio displa problem.
Car was parked for 3 days, when I got in it, I noticed the left part of the Radio in my 98 LS is dim. Is there a bulb that goes behind it? If so how do I remove the radio? How hard is it to get to the bulb?
Thanks for help.

OK, taking out the vents is such a disaster. The vents themselves went out flying, you have to put them in one by one, and keep them there. I glued the side rail so it keeps it together. What a horrible thing.
So now I know how to take the radio out at least.

Thats cause you are a super man! And you know that.
Can you be helpful and advise on replacing the bulb? From the research I did in the archives, it looks like the bulbs are mounted on the electric board. So its not a snap in type of a bulb.
Apparently the face plate came out separate from the whole vent unit from what I can understand and thats why the vents came apart.

Yes, the bulbs are soldered to the pcb boards. Unless you have some electronics repair or soldering experience I would not advise tackling this on your own. If you are comfortable with it, depending on which bulb is burned out they are wierd bulbs. You can't run down to the auto parts store and get them because they are 8 volt bulbs. If you put in 12v, they will be too dim. Sometimes the dealer carries the larger bulbs that are mounted in a base. The solder bulbs are T1 size 8 volt. You can get them here: http://www.mcmelectronics.com/product/25-995
