I removed my distributor and didnt mark it
I was removing things to replace and access lower parts of the engine and I removed my distributor and forgot to mark it
I didnt remove the rotor but I didnt mark any thing, as soon as I removed it I but it back in but i think it wont be right to turn it on and run it.
Does any one suggest what I should do?
Long story my fan clutch seized blew up my water pump, now I have to replace the water pump and for the time being I am also doing is300 fans
My research so far

Here ya go.
Cylinder #1 on top dead center on the compression stroke. Timing marks on both cams should be up & crank pulley will be @ "0".
Install the distributor w/ the rotor pointing just before #1 on the cap. Adjust the sweep of the distributor so the bolt lines up
w/ the witness (old) mark on the distributor mounting tab. This should be close enough for it to fire & reset the timing.
