Leaking PS fluid after line change/iac delete
Well I replaced my high pressure powersteering line with a 3SX performance line which deleted my IAC. I also replaced some return hose sections and put in a new reservoir. I filled the powersteering fluid up and turned steering wheel back ten times to try to remove air...got the noise down some...took the car for a drive and after a minute powersteering fluid started gushing out of the reservoir!
What did I do wrong with the filling process??? Correct filling procedure for 1993 sc400 is what? Could it be that I have a bad pump?
Thanks! after 4 months on this project changing everything from suspension to ignition parts 3 of the 4 months has been this dang power steering leak, any help appreciated.

Just tried fixing power steering again. I can get it to where it drives great and doesnt make a sound when I turn the wheel...then after driving 15 minutes it all leaks out of the top of the power steering fluid reservoir.
I would like to add that I am using dextron 4 automatic transmission fluid is that the right fluid? They dont make dex 3 anymore...seems strange to use automatic transmission fluid

A lot of folks on here have blocked off the idle air control valve without any problems...putting the AN line in there bypassed this...so your saying a bad pump can cause fluid to gush out of the reservoir?
