Default Steering Wheel Swap

Looking for other series Lexus/ Toyota vehicles that are plug-n-play airbag / steering wheel combos for my SC's, both the '97 and the '99. I do see where there is a single-stage and dual-stage types. I assume from reading what I can find from searching that our SC's are single-stage?

Also, when an airbag blows, is there any reset needed? My '99 was just barely damaged but blew out both front bags, went under the rear of an SUV.

Just can't quite find this info from searching

You want single-stage for direct compatibility, but there are also different plugs for the single-stages. I think '99-01 uses the smaller single-stage connector, whereas '92-98 uses the bigger one. Those years might vary across models, but they should get you pretty close. There's an adapter for the different connectors, although they're hard to come by.

RX300, IS300, '00-05 Celica (and variants) are a few good options for 3-spoke wheels. Any mid-'90s ES/LS/GS wheel will work for the '97 if you want to stick with 4-spoke.

If you're not afraid of messing with a bomb, you can usually swap a dual stage bomb (and bag optionally) between airbag housings of the same size and shape, opening up a few more possibilities with newer wheels.
