Check engine codes
I have had my check engine light on for quite some time now and the codes have varied over the years -- now I am showing that there are 4 codes on my canOBD2 tool. The four codes are (i) P0773 (shift solenoid E electrical), (ii) P0500 (vehicle speed sensor A), (iii) P500 (vehicle speed sensor A) and (iv) P0773 (shift solenoid E Electrical). My instrument cluster needs to be repaired because it is not displaying my MPH or mileage and I have already replaced the VSS so I do not understand why I am getting that code -- I thought the VSS was the reason for the display problems so that is why I replaced it. The replaced VSS did not fix the problem and I plan on sending it to Tanin when I put the car in the shop for body repairs.
I wonder why I have 4 codes showing on the scan tool with them being duplicate codes -- does it make sense that I have duplicate codes? Is the VSS code there because of the failed instrument cluster? Is the transmission solenoid code there because of the cluster issue? Are these codes related to the same problem? I am confused by the scan tool having duplicate codes -- because previously the codes that were showing up were for the 02 sensor only and that has been replaced.
When I called the parts dept. they did not want to give me a price -- they said I had to bring the car in for service to determine the exact part that I need. Parts said there are 4 parts that total about $371. I finally got them to give me the break down of the items (but they would not give me the part numbers) -- computer shift ($153), shift lock solenoid ($84), shift switch ($79) and park assist (($55). If the code is for the shift solenoid wouldn't that be the shift lock solenoid?

FYI,
I cleared the codes and when I re-ran the scan there were only 2 codes this time but they are still the P0773 and P0500 codes -- I really want to know if anyone has had the P0773 code that they needed to clear. What was or is the most likely culprit for that code -- the VSS code for P0500 should be pretty straight forward since there is only 1 VSS or is there another VSS that is not in the tranny?

Also, I noticed that recently when the car is cold and I start it, if I do not let it idle for at least 10-15 minutes there is a big jerk when I put it in drive, so does that have anything to do with the solenoid code?
